Hybrid Learning @ Gravity:
Online learning has been extremely challenging for working families. Most parents must go to work; others, work from home but do not have the time to help their children with school work. As parents, we understand how difficult this situation is for families in our community.
Gravity has put together years of educational experience to create The Learning Hub, a unique educational environment where children enjoy a holistic approach to learning; one that includes the body and mind. Our mission is to empower children to discover their inner motivation to become independent learners.
Schedule will be adjusted when we receive official information by Broward County School System. Please rest assure we will make necessary adjustments to make schedule work for you and your family.
How does The Learning Hub work?
The idea behind this project is to provide a learning environment where children can follow the academic curriculum provided by their school and add enrichment activities such us Gymnastics, P.E., Science, Spanish, Yoga, and Mindfulness.
Academic Curriculum
Provided by your Brick & Mortar School
Students will be following the online curriculum provided by their brick and mortar school or by Florida Virtual. Florida Virtual provides access to flexible online school options and develops engaging online curriculum used by families and schools around the world. To learn more click: “Florida Virtual”
Students will bring their own laptop as they will not be sharing devices or workspace.
Our teachers will help your child follow his/her assignments on a daily basis.
Enrichment Activities
Provided by Gravity Gymnastics
A holistic approach to learning is one that fosters students’ physical, emotional and social development.
Students will participate in Gymnastics, Ninja, and P.E. classes on a daily basis. They will also engage in Creative Writing,Theater and Painting as part of the Arts curriculum, and enjoy our Spanish Exposure Program through games, songs, and other activities.
We are thrilled to incorporate Yoga and “Mindfulness” to our curriculum, integrating once again the body and mind.

- Daily disinfection of facility
- Daily temperature checks to all students & staff
- Students & staff wear face-masks at all times
- Physical distance is observed at all times
- Sanitizing stations throughout facility
- Windows are open to improve ventilation
- Desks are placed 8 feet apart – students do not share work spaces
- Students bring their own electronic – no sharing of any equipment
Please understand that if your child is not able to respect social distance and follow safety instructions, he/she will not be able to participate in the Learning Hub Program for his/her own safety and the safety of other students and staff.
Holistic Approach to Learning – Enrichment Activities
Art
Inspiring the inner creativity and imagination through painting, creative writing, & theater. Through these activities children will expand their ability to interact with the world around them. Writing, painting and acting will provide them with a new set of skills for self-expression and communication.
Science
Students will engage in discussions using the Socratic Method, to create projects on how to protect the environment. Children will be given the background information in a scaffolding way to be able to enlist in relevant discussions.
Spanish
Through songs, games, and physical activities kids will be exposed to the Spanish language on a daily basis. Exposure to Spanish as a second language, will help children with their attention span, improve their creativity, memory, cognitive, and decision making abilities.
Gymnastics & P.E.
Gymnastics is the mother of all sports! At Gravity students receive gymnastics instruction daily – improving flexibility, coordination strength, and balance. Students also participate in Physical Education classes where they learn basic foundations of several sports including soccer, baseball, volleyball and athleticism.
Yoga
Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. Cognitively and emotionally, helps their concentration and sense of calmness, and improves relaxation. Students will have class once a week with a certified yoga instructor.
Mindfulness
Children will participate daily in the practice of mindfulness. Being mindful is the opposite of rushing or multitasking. When you’re mindful, you’re taking your time. You’re focusing in a relaxed, easy way. Wouldn’t it be nice for our children to learn how to slow down and be fully present in the moment
